Visual Memory Test
Memorize the pattern of white squares and repeat it. The pattern gets more complex as you progress.
What is Visual Memory?
Visual memory describes the relationship between perceptual processing and the encoding, storage, and retrieval of the resulting neural representations. Visual memory occurs over a broad time range spanning from eye movements to years in order to navigate to a previously visited location.
Average Scores
- Level 1-5: Beginner. Setting the baseline.
- Level 6-10: Average. Most adults reach this range.
- Level 11-15: High. Exceptional short-term memory.
- Level 16+: Photographic. Extremely rare visual retention skills.
Tips to Improve
Instead of trying to remember individual squares, try to group them into shapes or patterns (like a "T" shape, a line, or a box). This "chunking" technique helps your brain store more information efficiently.
